Digitally remastered and expanded two CD set. Glenn Hughes' reissue program for Purple Records continues with the re-release of his 2001 solo album, Building The Machine. The follow-up to 2000's Return of Crystal Karma, as well as featuring original material written with long-time collaborator and guitarist JJ Marsh, the album also includes a version of the Deep Purple classic, 'Highball Shooter', which originally appeared on 1974's Stormbringer LP. Special guests include guitarist Pat Travers, who duets with Hughes on the Rare Earth cover 'I Just Want To Celebrate', plus Toto's Bobby Kimball and The Cure's Lol Tolhurst appear on backing vocals. This edition includes the Japanese bonus track 'Cosmic Spell', which was co-written with Pat Travers, plus a live recording from his 1999 German tour that features the Deep Purple classics 'Stormbringer', 'Might Just Take Your Life', 'Burn' and 'You Fool No One', plus Black Sabbath's 'No Stranger To Love'.
