But he was even more successful as a TV star on a syndicated show out of Florida in the '60s and as a promoter of massive outdoor country music events in the '70s. His part in the story of rock 'n' roll has been little-known but it is no less important for that, and now it is told in full in words, pictures, and especially in his rocking music.
