Repressing. Gong Acid Mothers was the latest chapter in the seemingly endless regenerating story of Gong. Following a concert with Gong at the end of 2001 in Blackburn of all places Daevid Allen caught site of a Gong poster advertising the concert alongside a poster advertising a performance of the ballet Swan Lake. It set Daevid thinking and changes were afoot within Gong. It was this particular incident coupled with Daevid receiving a love letter that convinced him that perhaps it was time to once again shed the skin and move onto the next phase of Gong, which would turn out to be Gong Acid Mothers which would see collaboration between Gong and the band Acid Mothers Temple. Voiceprint.
