Guitarists Slava and Leonard Grigoryan are counted amongst the finest musicians of their generation. The brothers - whose musical lives have been defined by their enduring and profound collaboration - have embraced disparate genres such as classical, jazz and contemporary music from around the world. And now this exclusive Best Of album brings together highlights from their award-winning discography. This album - released to coincide with their major US tour in early 2018 - includes tracks from eight of their most popular albums. It takes in classical works by Tchaikovsky, Bach and Debussy; the astonishing virtuosity of Jongo by Brazilian Paulo Bellinati; music by American jazz legend Ralph Towner; and original compositions by Slava and Leonard themselves. Recorded in studios in Australia and Europe, including the legendary Rainbow Studios in Oslo, the album showcases a decade of recordings. Their sibling collaboration started in the family home when Leonard was four and Slava 13. While having many and varied musical influences, it is their father Edward who has had the most impact. In their formative years he taught them the fundamentals that have been at the core of their abilities. As their careers flourished, he became a collaborator by way of his arrangements that have given voice to Slava and Leonard's skill and artistry. Between them, the Grigoryan Brothers have received four ARIA (Australian Grammy) Awards and an incredible 24 ARIA Award nominations. As a duo they have recorded seven albums. They have performed regularly throughout Europe, Asia, Australasia and the USA, as well as in Brazil, South Africa, India and the Middle East.
