Known for her magical, evocative voice and an ability to interpret and inhabit a range of styles with a mix of power and feeling, Heather Findlay is one of the finest vocalists working in music today. Prog magazine lauded her, "Deliciously sultry vocals", whilst Maverick magazine hailed her, "Pure, crystalline voice. She grabs your heart in an almost vice-like grip". With her latest project, the eagerly awaited 'Wild White Horses' album, her career continues to gather speed. She has earned her stripes and learned her craft over recent years, turning a natural love of music into a stock in trade. With 2016's The Illusion's Reckoning project with Mantra Vega, plus Winter album, 'I Am Snow' with her own band finishing the year, along with last year's DVD & Live album, Aces & Eights - A Night In The Saloon Bar, there has rarely been a dull moment along the way. 'Wild White Horses', though preceded by multiple offerings since her 2010 departure from Mostly Autumn, will still be Heather's first full solo album. Recorded at the legendary Rockfield Studios in Wales and produced by Luke Morley of Thunder, who also co-writes some tracks with Heather, Wild White Horses is eclectic, fresh and innovative in it's blend of originality, which breaks new ground for Heather with nods to so far unexplored musical territories, such as americana and even pays homage in places to Heather's spiritual love of India. Even with it's occasional adventuring of paths untrodden, the album echoes with a bounty of delving into the depths of the music Heather has always loved. Flashes of diverse influence from Heart, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac and Queen, to Emmylou Harris and Neil Young, to George Harrison and Kate Bush, seamlessly shimmer in and out of the cleverly cohesive sonic tapestry produced, threaded with signature strong melody, thoughtful lyrics and jewelled with that rich, warm, soulful voice, makes Wild White Horses nothing less than unmistakably, Heather Findlay. Special Guests: The album features an upbeat duet with Thunder's powerhouse vocalist Danny Bowes titled, 'Just A Woman'. The mystical wonder of Troy Donockley of Nightwish and his Uilleann pipes feature on the track titled 'I Remember' and on the track 'Winner', a guest appearance on flute from non other than the Flute Father Himself, Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull is featured.
