2011 two CD collection. Jerry Butler was one of the most important and influential Soul music stylists of the past 50 years. As lead singer with the Impressions his performance on their hit "For Your Precious Love" was one of the templates for the emerging Soul music genre. This fantastic package features his first two LPs plus bonus tracks and includes the early hits, "He Will Break Your Heart", "Lost" and "A Lonely Soldier". Curtis Mayfield who would take over the group when Jerry went solo wrote and plays guitar on several of the tracks on this compilation. Jasmine.
