Music that connects to 'someday, somewhere. ' Percussionist and singer-songwriter Mami Kakudo returns with a new album after four years. In addition to her solo career, Kakudo is known for her work supporting cero and as a member of Shun Ishiwaka's SONGBOOK PROJECT. This highly anticipated new album is her first since the critically acclaimed 'oar' in 2020. The recording features her current band, including Mugi Furukawa (guitar, chorus), Goldman Akita (bass), Wataru Mitsunaga (drums), and Yumiko Iwao (cello), along with a variety of guest musicians. This album showcases Kakudo's beautiful and ephemeral whispering voice, her unique lyrical world that evokes nostalgic yet unfamiliar landscapes, and her playful sound production, further blooming her immense talent. The album cover is an original artwork by Mexican artist Gerardo Vargas, with whom Kakudo has a long-standing relationship.
