This release contains 10 killer tracks each by Johnny Kid & the Pirates, Joe Brown & His Bruvvers, and Vince Taylor & the Playboys, all of whom were perhaps the last genuine British rockers of the pre-Beatles era. Kidd, Brown and Taylor differed from their mainstream pop contemporaries in that their prime fan base was young blokes rather than young girls, the attraction being the lead guitarists and the hard-edged music.
