2016 release. Los Angeles-based prog rock outfit Lucid Fly began life in the early 2000's in Orlando, FL, where they cut their teeth on the southeastern club circuit, growing their fanbase with every city and market they hit. When they realized they couldn't take their career any further playing the same venues repeatedly, band mainstays Nikki Layne and guitarist Doug Mecca decided it was time to pack up and move across the country to Los Angeles where they immediately ran into drummer Aaron Ficca (ex Macy Gray) and laid the groundwork for Lucid Fly v2.0. Three EP's later the band has become a top draw throughout southern California and has expanded their touring route through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and Nevada.
