A special collaboration work between Japan's hybrid cumbia band 'MUMBIA y SUS CANDELOSOS' and Japan's world-renowned keyboard harmonica player Pianica Maeda!This is a special collaboration between the Japanese hybrid cumbia band 'MUMBIA y SUS CANDELOSOS' and the world-renowned keyboard harmonica player, Pianica Maeda. The mix was done by DUB MASTER X, another Japanese dub artist. Cumbia, which originated in Colombia, continues to evolve by greedily incorporating various genres, and a new bud that emerged in Japan, almost on the other side of the world. The design, full of Japanese taste and Chicha feeling, was done by Katsumi Tanaka, leader of the Minyo Crusaders. *Chicha: A genre of psychedelic cumbia that developed independently in Peru in the 1960s and 1970s. It was born from the fusion of cumbia with indigenous music and surf rock. Background to this collaboration Theopportunity arose when Pianica Maeda guested at the event 'Peter Barakan's LIVE MAGIC!' held in 2017, when the Minyo Crusaders appeared. The story begins when Mutsumi Kobayashi, a member of the folk crusaders and leader of MUMBIA y SUS CANDELOSOS, and Meadica Maeda meet again at Kunitachi Station. After several live sessions, they begin working on the album, but the schedule is postponed many times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the difficulty of keeping up their excitement, they persevered and continued working, and after three years, the album is finally complete!About the song: This is a lewdly Japanese-style cumbia by Meadica Maeda, with an impressive flute like a gagaku flute and an accordion like a sho, in the'Osuberakashi'chord scale. The title is the name of the formal hairstyle worn by female members of the imperial family and court ladies during ceremonies, which has continued since the Heian period, and is the definitive Japanese cumbia. 'BELON BELON'Kodama Kazufumi said, 'I think the word 'Belon Belon' is easy to understand for people in Spanish-speaking countries (South America). ' Kobayashi Mutsumi always remembered this and wanted to make a song with this title.
