"Double Portrait" is already the fourth album of Giuseppe Millaci & Vogue Trio. We find our three accomplices with the experience of the multiple Belgian and international stages they have played on together. This new album brings to light the relationship between the composer and his instrument, the double bass, consolidated during the lockdown: a combination of shorter pieces that pay homage to Giuseppe Millaci's taste for bold rhythmics. This pace stops sometimes, though, to pay tribute to exceptional melodies like the very successful cover of Bud Powell's "Time Waits". We also find a composition of the drummer Lionel Beuvens and the essential jazz standard "Beautiful Love" reinvented in a surprising version.
