Hailing from the far north coast of New South Wales, Australia, Tim Oxley is one of the youngest members of the undeniably talented Oxley offspring. Older brothers Peter and Jeremy had a mega dose of teenage fame with their band The Sunny boys from 1980 till 1984 with their spiky melodic pop songs of adolescent angst. Their sister Melanie is a renowned vocalist in her own right, & has released 3 beautiful albums with her musical partner, Chris Abrahams who is also a member of the avant-garde trio, The Necks. This brings us to Tim, singer, guitar player, drummer & songwriter of some of the most heartbreakingly beautiful songs you are ever likely to hear. With a voice that truly resonates with sweet magic & lyrics that are wise and innocent at once. Tim has been quietly working away at his craft since he left home at 17 years of age and has played with the cream of the Australian music world, subtly influencing many musicians along the way. The Humdingers were Tim's first serious band, a power pop force that first made music lovers aware of his gifts. After the demise of The Humdingers, The Verys emerged and enjoyed critical acclaim and many new fans. Later in his career he's teamed with Jodi Phillis of Clouds fame, to form " The Dearhunters", Trent Macnamara (The Melniks) "Grandview". Again teamed with singing/songwriting wife Jodi Phillis to form "Roger Loves Betty" Also two brilliant solo LP's "It's All About Love" RRR Album Of The Week, "Kitchen Songs" 4 Stars SMH critic Bernard Zuel, Children's TV shows "New McDonalds Farm" & "Toy Box". Tim wrote songs for a US TV commercials, recorded & played all the instruments on the Genevieve Davis album in 2010 & Richard Green LP 2011 Music supervisor for the David Field film "The Combination" & played drums with Nick Cave at the prestigious AFI Awards. Did the theatre tour with Sunny boys playing acoustic & electric guitars, percussion & singing backing harmonies. After all of that it brings us to his latest effort Mr. Flabio. In 2012 Tim started writing and recording a new rock album entitled "We Will Riot" under the new name Mr. Flabio. Tim recorded the album in a granny flat underneath his house in Mount Saint Thomas near Wollongong on and off for 2 years. Tim plays all the instruments on the album as well as taking on the recording duties. Mastered by Don Bartley at 301. There's plenty of tongue in cheek & cynicism involved in the lyrics. Reminiscent of early 90's "Grunge Rock Pop" alla "The Lemonheads" happening here.
