After a run of Top 10 Beatport releases and big plays from the usual A-list DJ suspects- followed by a bit of a personal hiatus- Dissident label boss Noel Sanger is back with "Under Wide Horizons." The original mix first appeared on our Dissident Miami 2021 compilation and has now been remixed by Noel himself. Powerful beats connect with emotive chord melodies and ethereal fx to deliver a sense of awe for any dancefloor. Says Noel: "The chord structure had this epic, sort of awe-inspiring feeling to it, and it kept reminding me of this quote from Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel, and that's where the title came from. When my dad passed away earlier this year, I spent the next two weeks with my laptop, set up in his room, writing the remix, with the Heschel quote in mind. It seemed appropriate." It's a bit of a timeless piece, we think, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do: for movement and dancing or even contemplative listening. Stay tuned! Dissident is back! .
