Everybody with a deep knowledge in R&B is confident with the essence of live P-Funk: the costumes, the stagecraft, the dozen-plus musicians. Alongside Sun Ra Arkestra this was pure Afro-futurism, longtime before it was current language. The so called coming of the Mothership took place in this 1977 live, during the life changing P. Funk Earth Tour. Anyone who's seen footage of the band at their prime can't overstate the greatness of their spectacle.
