Reissue of 2013 release. Can't Talk Medicine is the highly anticipated debut full length from Seattle-based (and KEXP radio favorites) Pickwick. The band released a 7' series called Myths in 2011, and have gained attention in the Northwest with their stunning live shows and a host of sold out tour dates. Can't Talk Medicine was recorded in the band's living room to 1/2 inch tape on an 8-track to achieve the raw sound that the band has come to be recognized for. From the piano-heavy soul of opener 'Halls of Columbia', to the stand out duet with Sharon van Etten, 'Lady Luck,' Pickwick s Can't Talk Medicine takes listeners on a journey filled with raw instrumentation, huge vocals, found sounds and themes of mental illness.
