Polarity is the latest project from respected Colorado based saxophonists Pete Lewis and Clare Church. King of Hearts was inspired by their deep respect for the musicianship and writing of Don Grolnick and the Yellowjackets wherein the rhythm section musicians are an integral part of the orchestration rather than just serving as background for the lead lines. All of these original compositions are genre-stretching and challenging. Lewis and Church put together a group of musicians with a diverse array of talents, those that could play anything from bebop, Latin and funk to gospel and rock.
