Oscar Peterson's landmark meeting with Milt Jackson in the mid 1960's produced the very successful album entitled "Very Tall the Oscar Peterson Trio with Milt Jackson", which is a well-known album. This newer recording entitled the Very Tall Band is a reference to that famous album and is a chance to hear 3 Jazz masters late in their careers. They've played and recorded together on a number of occasions since then, joined by Ray Brown more often than not, but these live tracks recorded at the Blue Note are among their most satisfying sessions. Contains the songs "When Summer Comes", "Nature Boy", "Sometimes I am Happy" and many more. This recording has been mastered by the new Ultra High Definition 32-Bit Mastering process, which creates an unbelievable sound surpassing other formats.
