A release that opens the precious casket of the works of two Italian seventeenth-century composers and violinists. It is a journey into the enveloping Baroque musical production through the compositions of Marco Uccellini (c.1610-1680), a prominent figure in the development of the sonata and technique for violin, and Michelangelo Rossi (1601 / 2-1656), a multifaceted composer, violinist and also organist. Born from the in-depth research of Davide Monti and Maria Christina Cleary at the State Archives, at the Museum and at the Estense Library in Modena, where Marco Uccellini was Chapel Master, the album presents an artistic dialogue between the two authors in a path that intertwines the in-depth themes and the respective compositional solutions. Protagonists of this very fine musical tale, careful to capture the spirit of the time in depth in a complex landscape of cultural stories, we find Davide Monti violin, Maria Christina Cleary double harp, Alberto Rasi viola da gamba and violone, Rogério Gonçalves dulciana. The release invites you to discover the suggestions that gather in these rediscovered pages of the Italian Baroque, letting yourself be carried away by a free imaginative and emotional listening.
