(2 CD + DVD set) in a world where bands come and go in the blink of an eye, the enduring success of Steeleye Span is one of the great stories in Rock music. 2009 will see them celebrate an incredible forty years together, an achievement made all the more remarkable by the fact that the band has seldom been more active in it's career. At a period in their career when most bands are happy to settle down to rehashing past glories, Steeleye Span have pushed on with a succession of acclaimed albums, each seeing them re-define their classic sound. The two CDs were recorded over four concerts between 2002 and 2008, the DVD was filmed at Hove, UK in 2006. NTSC, 75 minutes. "Two CDs and a DVD to celebrate their entire career, from the earliest days of 'The Blacksmith' through to their most recent album 'Bloody Men'. with four decades of material to choose from, it's unsurprising that Steeleye are not content just to roll out the hits. These are often songs that have come and gone from their live set over the years, allowing the band to return and revisit them at will". - Phil Udell, 2009.
