Digitally remastered edition. 1981 album recorded for Rounder Records as part of the deal which also saw the label release the third and final version of his Seven Bridges Road album. Between 1969 and 1978, Young released five critically acclaimed but commercially unsuccessful country-rock albums for a variety of labels. The early '80s saw him move away from country into a much more rock-orientated direction. The small group features the twin guitars of Mac Gayden and Jerry Shook, and there isn't a pedal steel to be heard. Another departure is the lack of Steve Young originals on the album; only 'The River And The Swan' is written by him. For the rest, he covers a wide range of material from the pens of Jagger and Richards, Waylon Jennings, Cat Stevens and others. Apart from a brief release in Germany in 1989, this is the first time the album has been available on CD. Garth Cartwright's sleeve note features a new interview with Mac Gayden, plus previously unseen outtakes from the original photo sessions in Nashville.
