Brenda Taylor's seminal 'You Can't Have Your Cake And Eat It To' is finessed into a contemporary disco standard with Taylor's voice still cutting through with plenty of soul while synth and pianos provide the groove. Flip to the B-side for NYC Peech Boys, where 'Don't Make Me Wait' cuts a slightly edgier tone, with acid-like bleeps and plenty of reverb making it a perfect counter track as part of this release.
