The alias of remixer/producer Tony Moran and his friend Albert Cabrera, Latin Rascals teamed to develop a new process of making records creating re-edited versions of hit songs spliced together to produce instant dance hits. This concept helped to usher in the freestyle era of music, buoyed by great lyrics, awesome melodies and bangin' beats. The hit making duo was contracted by Fever Records to write and produce a song for one of their new acts, The Cover Girls, resulting in "Show Me," a song that became Tony Moran's first Top 40 Gold record and lifted the freestyle genre to national recognition in 1986. In 1991, Moran conceived another smash for The Cover Girls titled "Funk Boutique" with the aid of co-producer Andy "Panda" Tripoli. Newly remastered.
