(LP + Bonus CD) The OHRCD are Mark Olson, Victoria Williams and "Razz" Russell. Olson is one of this country's most underrated songwriters, and this his finest LP. The Creek Dippers offer 10 tunes, centered around gently-strummed acoustic guitar, and fleshed out with lovingly woven background vocals (courtesy Ms. Williams) and tasteful, sparse use of piano, mandolin, fiddle and banjo. Olson's heartbreakingly sincere and affecting songs aim straight for the heart. Originally released on CD in 1997 and distributed via mailorder from Olson and Williams' home, this wonderful record is now available on 180 gram vinyl, and includes a bonus CD of the full album in case you (like nearly everyone else) missed it the first time.
