Italian composer Martino Traversa comes from the tradition of Nono, Varèse and Boulez and is featured on this portrait recording of Ensemble Prometeo. He is a composer who is a product of the European composition heritage - in the best sense of the word - and carries it into the 21st century, equally original and respectful towards the past. This selection of his chamber music consists of vocal and instrumental works and deserves highest attention from it's listeners. Ensemble Prometheus, established in 2009 as part of the Prometheus Foundation, is made up of some of the finest Italian and European musicians. The group aims to represent new music composed between the end of the twentieth century and the present day.
