- This Genuin CD release, featuring an all-star artist cast including trombonist Mike Svoboda, tenor voice Daniel Behle and saxophonist Marcus Weiss puts forward world premiere recordings of both intimate and large-scale chamber music works by the internationally award-winning composer Balz Trümpy. - Born in Basel, CH in 1946, Trümpy studied composition with Luciano Berio in Rome. - In addition to his having spent time at IRCAM in Paris, he has taught composition and music theory at Basel Conservatory since 1979, and from 1982-87 served as the Conservatory's deputy director.
