Kaye + Ignit was a Dutch music group from Arnhem in early 80s was active with experimental minimal synthpop. The group was formed when Van Kaye (Ed Kasteren), former lead singer of rock band The MonoMen and Ignit Basin (known as Ignit Kasteren and presenter of VPRO - radio Spleen) beginning in 1980 conceived the plan with synthesizers and drum machines to experiment. In 1981, the duo GEAF the cassette A Slight Delay and 7-inch record Picasso On The Wall on their own label Dingdong Disk later Ding Dong Records And Tapes called. This label released later tapes and vinyl of The Legendary Pink Dots and Attrition and a number of themed compilations including collecting double cassette Film Noir - American Style including Vincent Gallo and The Residents. In 1982, the duo became a trio with the arrival of Wizzkopf (Willem Wisselink), former producer of The MonoMen. In that year appeared three songs of the group in the collection plate Radionome the eponymous VPRO radio program. In 1984, the cassette With A Little Help... was released, which also include Edward Ka-game of The Legendary Pink Dots cooperated. From 1985, no new work is more but released in May 2011 brought the German record label Vinyl-on-demand back all expenses incurred by the group in a boxed set of five LP's and a 10-inch plate. The kit includes a demo version of 8 songs (30 minutes) and the final version with 11 songs (60 minutes) A Slight Delay. It also contains the 7 "Picassos On The Wall, cassette With A Little Help..., supplemented by contributions to compilation cassettes another cassette labels in Europe, unreleased tracks and records of concerts Parkzicht in Rotterdam (1983) and during the Kassettentäterfest in Germany (1982).
