Baudelaire inspired composers to create works of unique beauty. These melodies draw a striking musical portrait of the author of "The flowers of Evil". Marie Kalinine and Marie-Laure Garnier perfectly serve the poet and the composers, including Vincent Minazzoli who gives us five superb melodies in creation. Marie Kalinine studied singing at the Maîtrise of Radio-France and graduated from the Paris National Conservatory. She achieved her tuition as a member of the Opera Studio at the Opéra National du Rhin and the CNIPAL in Marseille (postgraduate opera training centre). TV host Eve Ruggieri engaged her to sing her first Carmen (Antibes and Lacoste Festivals) and invited her to sing in her show on National Television. Marie-Laure Garnier began her artistic journey at a young age in French Guiana, learning flute, piano and organ before going on to study at the Maitrîse Choir of the Regional Academy of Paris. After graduating, she studied singing in Malcolm Walker's class at the Paris Conservatoire and had masterclasses with Stephan Genz, Anne Le Bozec, Susan Manoff and many others. A fervent believer in equality of access to the arts, Marie-Laure regularly works with disadvantaged children and has also created a gospel choir with whom she gives charity concerts.
