Soaring by the bank of La Seine, we soak in tipsy chanson and say goodbye to the bleakly cold. La Chanteuse de Jazz presents you luscious melodies to welcome the coming romantic season. The album first brings you Joséphine Baker's J'ai Deux Amours rendered by Ranee Lee, the winner of Juno Awards in 2010, with elegant piano to build up the atmosphere of Left Bank. Then, Annie Royer, the charming bilingual vocalist, with her beautiful voice that brings on images, performs Édith Piaf's Hymne à l'amour and Padam. After that, Chrstine Albert from New York brings you Charles Trenet's La Mer with her cute tone. Lavalse des Lilas composed by Michel Legrand, the composer of the Umbrellas of Cherbourg is rendered by Carol Welsman, the Smooth Jazz queen of Canada. Caroline Daly presented C'est Magnifique, the song composed for Can-can by the American composer, Cole Porter. Of course, last but not least, Isabelle Antena, the popular Bossa Nova queen in France, gives you her unique version of La Pecheresse a La Ligne, Nous Dormirons Esemble and Melodie to put on a little romance for this spring!
