Fans of New Orleans R&B will have much to rejoice about here with this interesting compilation. All of the artists featured here are New Orleans all-stars such as Aaron Neville, Lee Dorsey, Ernie K-Doe, Huey Piano Smith, Robert Parker, Chris Kenner, the Showmen and Irma Thomas. There is one exception, that being Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs, whose mega-hit "Stay" is featured here because it was released on a New Orleans label and was a big hit in the Crescent City, as were all the other tracks included here. If you're looking for big early R&B hits, this is a great place to start. Volume 2 in the series. All selections newly remastered.
